Always interesting weather in the Cevennes, France

Normally weather here gets its fair share of storms up in the hills, but this week we had some rain but seemed to have missed the worst of it coming in from the Atlantic, but today we are getting pretty high winds, bending the trees and our neighbours in Les Causses report even heavier winds racing across the high upland plains. In the nearest mountain we have even had snow storms across the ski villages.

Last month we had a lot of rain , turning our road into a fast flowing river, which made interesting viewing.

There is somethin comforting in being inside a nice old stone cottage, b now well insulated and feeling warm and protected as the wind howls outside
